Dear Parents

A very warm welcome to Arlesdene Nursery School and Pre-School, a maintained nursery school located in the heart of Cheshunt.

We are proud to offer purpose-built learning environments with extensive outdoor provision for our Nursery (3–5 year olds), Pre-School (2–3 year olds), and our Rainbow classes for children with SEND. Alongside 15 hours of early education, we also provide 30 hours of free childcare for eligible working parents.

At Arlesdene, we place great importance on building strong, positive relationships with our families. We work closely with parents and carers, offering support with parenting and a variety of opportunities to be actively involved in their child’s learning journey.

We are committed to ensuring every child can achieve their full potential by providing meaningful and engaging experiences that nurture understanding, creativity, and independence. Children’s wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do, and we continually strive to provide a caring, happy, and inclusive environment where individual needs are recognised and met.

We were delighted to be judged Outstanding by Ofsted in May 2023. The report states:

“The school is a harmonious place to be; children are safe and play well. This is a school where everyone is valued, included and encouraged to be the best they can be.”
