What is a Maintained Nursery School ?
A Maintained Nursery School (MNS), is a local authority setting that is funded and controlled by the local authority, just like any other local authority primary or secondary school and governed by a board of Governors.
As a Maintained Nursery Schools we are led by a Headteacher, and a range of other highly qualified staff including qualified Teachers and Early Years Practitioners and Assistants, and a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo). This ensures we provide high quality early education to your children.
Ofsted inspects and regulates all Maintained Nursery Schools in exactly the same way as they would conduct their inspections across primary or secondary school settings too; this ensures that you can make more of an informed decision about the provision you choose to send your child too.
Arlesdene Nursery School and Pre-school is proud to be a Maintained Nursery School. With a wealth of expertise, resources and experience for Early Years Education, you can be assured that all of our staff work extremely hard to deliver the very best quality of education to each of our children, successfully preparing them for the next stage in their educational journey.
As a Maintained Nursery School, we work with many other professionals to ensure that we integrate education, care and health services for children, ensuring all aspects of your child’s development can be supported.
