Welcome to our web site

I am glad you have taken the time to view our pages and find out a little more about our School. Arlesdene Nursery School provides an excellent educational start for children and our web site should give you a taste of this.

However, it is just a glimpse and cannot bring you the atmposphere of learning. You can sense but perhaps not see, the busy, active learning taking place. You can see but not perhaps not hear the happy, fun-filled experiences. You can read about the curriculum but not fully appreciate the different levels of learning achieved. For this I recommend a visit to the School.

Playing with sticklebricksMy philosophy is that choosing a school is rather like buying a house, you instinctively know which one is right for your family. Many parents who come to look around are delighted by the 'wonderful feel' and know their child will be happy here.

Children's experiences at Arlesdene are not confined to one two and a half hour education session. In addition, we now boast a lunch club and full day care sessions (8am -6pm) 49 weeks of the year. We also operate a breakfast and after school club for children at Burleigh School and holiday club sessions for children in the area. The nursery was re-accredited with the Hertfordshire Quality Standard (HQS) in July 2006.

In November 2007 we were designated as the Lead Agency for the Children's Centre in the Cheshunt central area. This will mean that the school will work in partnership with other agencies to provide a range of services for families. This is a very exciting opportunity and we feel honoured that we have been chosen to take this leading role in the community.

If you would like to come and find out more about Arlesdene Nursery School or its care facilities, please contact us and we can arrange a visit. In the meantime I hope you enjoy your wander through our web site.
